Get a Library Card

Any Eagle resident may apply for a full-service library card by presenting both photo identification and proof of current address (a driver’s license and piece of official mail such as a utility bill are usually acceptable).  Eagle Library also issues library cards to those living in the cities of Boise, Garden City, Meridian, and Star and in the unincorporated areas of Ada County.  Minor patron cards are only issued to parents or guardians, who must co-sign their children’s card applications.

Eagle serves free of charge any patrons living within the ten library jurisdictions that form the LYNX! Library Consortium.  Treasure Valley residents living outside the LYNX! Consortium (e.g., Kuna, Middleton and rural areas of Canyon and Gem counties) may purchase a non-resident household card from Eagle for $47.50 annually.  Non-resident seniors age 62 and older may purchase individual, annual cards for $12.00. Regardless of residence, anyone employed within the Eagle City limits will be issued a library card free of charge for use within the Eagle Public Library only.  Such employees must bring proof of employment when applying for a card.  Employee cards are kept on file at the Library.
